The prophecy of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him),

Al-Ruwaibidah, will decide matters

Praise be to Allah, who revealed the Quran as His word, and adorned the speech of the Prophet (peace be upon him) of Truth with beautiful words, and taught the Companions so they might understand. Glory be to Him, and peace and blessings be upon him who was given the most comprehensive words and their eloquence. To proceed;

The words of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) continue to amaze us day by day, era by era, and generation by generation. It is as if he is always among us, witnessing what happens, foretelling it, present with us in events, guiding us with his commands, prohibitions, actions, and approvals. He takes care of the people of Islam in every time and place with all of this.

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said: “There will come to the people years of treachery, when the liar will be regarded as honest, and the honest man will be regarded as a liar; the traitor will be regarded as faithful, and the faithful man will be regarded as a traitor; and the Ruwaibidah will decide matters. It was said: Who are the Ruwaibidah? He said: Vile and base men who control the affairs of the people” [Elselsela Elsahiha: 1887].

Indeed, we are living through part of these deceitful years as described by the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). The liar is believed, and the truthful is disbelieved; the treacherous are trusted, and the trustworthy are considered treacherous. In the absence of truth and honesty, and with their opposites prevailing, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) informs us of the natural outcome during these times of inverted standards: the emergence of the Ruwaibidah, defining and describing him as the foolish man who speaks about public affairs.

The Ruwaibidah speak during these deceitful years, years of creating and shaping role models from the people of foolishness, immorality, and licentiousness. They take the lead in speaking about politics and economics, controlling the social and moral state of societies, and they also speak ignorantly about religion, its teachings, and its laws. They argue with people using words that only sprout from the heads of devils. They speak after being silenced during the years of flourishing knowledge and the presence of illuminating figures guided by the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).

The Ruwaibidah speak, echoing what they have been taught by the devils among humans and jinn. They use desires as a trap to lure the heedless and doubts as a trap to lure the ignorant. Only those who follow the path of the believers are saved from their snares.

The Ruwaibidah speak, hiding under the guise of truth and honesty, while they are the living examples of lies and betrayal. They drag along groups of people who feed on their heedlessness and ignorance, amassing vast wealth, luxurious vehicles, and eye-catching palaces from their followers. All of this will eventually perish in a transient world, as did Quran with all his treasures, knowledge, and power.

The Ruwaibidah speak, and media channels dedicate all their time and headlines to them. The media covers their marriages and divorces, travels and residences, clothes and hairstyles, songs and dances, movies, and TV shows. Generations are slowly being molded to fit the description of effeminate men and masculinized women.

The Ruwaibidah speak, paving the way for the appearance of the Antichrist. In another narration from Musnad Ahmad by Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said: “Indeed, before the Dajjāl are deceptive years – the truthful one will not be believed, the liar will be believed, the trustworthy one will be accused of betrayal, the treacherous one will be trusted, and the Ruwaibidah will speak. They said: And what is the Ruwaibidah? He said: The base wicked-doer, he will speak in relation to the affairs of the general public” [Musnad Ahmad: 13298].

It is as if they are preparing the world with their wickedness for the arrival of the king of deception and lies, the greatest upcoming tribulation on earth, "the Antichrist," who will come to reap the results of corrupting generations and gather more followers to fuel the fire of hell with their leader, Iblis. We seek refuge in Allah from him and his ways.

The Ruwaibidah speak, inciting women against their husbands, then bringing them out of their homes to become cheap images in advertisements for promoting products. They leave generations to be raised by screens, streets, electronic games, and bad company in a plan meticulously crafted with a devilish intellect that has gained extensive experience in human nature and ways of leading them astray since Adam descended to earth.

The Ruwaibidah speak, portraying people of religion as cave-dwellers, whose thinking is outside the realm of the present and future. They turn people away from even listening to their enjoining good or forbidding evil, and they embolden people to insult them and speak harshly to them, causing the people of religion to withdraw, virtues to diminish, vice to spread, and corruption to increase, leading to unprecedented crimes and societal decay.

The Prophet of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) informed us of the sequence of events leading ultimately to the speech of the Ruwaibidah. The solution lies in avoiding submission to this sequence by restoring concepts to their true nature so that the nation's brightness returns. When the liar is believed, we must expose his lies, refute his ideas, and debunk his tricks before the people. When the truthful is disbelieved, we must free him from his restraints and let him speak, enjoining good and forbidding evil. When the treacherous are trusted, we must not entrust them with anything so that they sleep soundly thinking they are trustworthy. When the trustworthy are considered treacherous, we must trust them and not pay attention to their being considered treacherous. This way, the Ruwaibidah will be marginalized, their triviality and foolishness will be evident, and the number of the damned will decrease, vice will be expelled, and virtue will spread. We ask Allah for salvation and a good ending.
