Angie was grown up with a confident personality, caring only for her appearance and sitting long hours for applying make up and priming up, and nothing can turn her away from that.

When she entered college, her mother used to take her to different occasions such as weddings and birthday parties, perhaps someone proposes to her.

When she goes to parties, she used to stay long hours. She refuses to leave before her mother praises her as being more beautiful than the bride herself and she has attracted all admiration looks.

One day, one of her relatives passed away and her mother summoned her to go with her to the funeral. She refused and said: I do not like grief.

• Dear daughter, is there anyone who loves grief?! It is just a duty we have to fulfill, and people shall wonder why you did not go with me as you go every time.

Having her mother persisted, Angie agreed and started to apply her make up.

The mother asked: What are you doing?

Angie: I shall apply make up.

The mother: Is it possible?!

Angie: How can I go out without make up?! I never do it before.

The mother: Never mind, you shall get used to these situations. Dear daughter, you have grown up now and you have to share people's joys and grief. These are black decent clothes and a head cover which I have bought for you.

Angie: I have never worn such clothes before, said Angie annoyingly.

The mother: It is just an hour and you will get back to your normal.

Angie wore the black decent clothes and the head cover and stood before the mirror to see her new shape.

She walked in the street thinking only in one thing, how would people think of her new look without make up.

She felt as if she is naked and every part of her that does not have make up has lost part of its decency.
