Alukah Network wins the second place in the Digital Excellence Award Competition

The fifth round of the Digital Excellence Award Competitions which has been organized by the Minister of Communication and Technology in KSA brought about the winning of Alukah Network of the second place in the branch of cultural sites.

It is an Islamic and multi-cultural Network which is composed of 13 useful sites and supervised by Dr. Khalid ibn `Abdul-Rahman Al Jeraisy and his Eminence Dr. Sa`d ibn `Abdullah Al Humayd.

The site is characterized by its methodological approach and rich scientific materials along with its noticeable technological development in compare to other Islamic sites.

The Digital Excellence Award is one of the great specialized Saudi prizes in the field of Internet and Information Technology which is offered by the Ministry of Communication and Technology in KSA since 1426 AH - 2005, and is divided into nine sections.

The ministry is keen to make benefit from the possibilities and energies to make this award compatible with the level of hopes and goals for which it has set.

For this reason, the Award uses the efforts of specialists who take part in the judging committee, as it seeks the help of a group of judges who were chosen accurately and who represent academic specialists in addition to specialists in both the public and the private sectors.

The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology aims to encourage the initiatives which contribute in enriching the Arabic digital materials, in addition to spreading the importance of creating spectacular sites in Arabic to serve the society.

They also support and honor intellectual and technological creativeness for talents whether individuals or organizations in the field of Internet sites and encouraging the creative foundations and companies in the field of Internet services to provide secure intellectual digital environments that are compatible with traditions, customs, and morals in Saudi Arabia.
