Deceived us and said: Peace treaties!

In the context of continuous talk about

1- Direct and indirect negotiations,

2- US promises that gone with the wind,

3- A deteriorated Arab position,

4- The business of the Palestinian leadership in the West Bank with its interior affairs,

5- Gathering up scattered papers after the extreme failure and despair of the U.S. pressure on the occupation to stop settlement activity and move forward in the negotiations that are supposed to lead to the birth of a "Palestinian state;"

The occupation army breaks silence and stillness to come back again with its air fighters to turn the night of Gaza to daylight by Israeli missiles, which reap the bodies of martyrs in numbers. The killing machine never stopped harvesting martyrs and wounded, increasing the numbers of prisoners, and tightening the siege over Gaza, and raising the threat of deadly war that will be more ferocious than its predecessors.

Five martyrs passed away in the first day, then the following day President Mahmoud Abbas met with nearly one hundred Zionists, representing many institutions, including members of the Israeli Knesset.

While on the ground the occupation's bulldozers swallow up the Palestinian land, turning it into settlements, however there is no meaning for settlements because they exist on a land that is put for negotiation to be a Palestinian state.

What makes it more surprising is the continuation of the Palestinian leadership in power despite its bankruptcy of all options, and its determination to move forward in one-way road —which is peace— that is rejected by Benjamin Netanyahu as well as the Israeli public opinion away from the propaganda that suggests otherwise.

The land is being converted to Judaism, the West Bank is being swallowed up, Aqsa Mosque is about to collapse because of the ongoing excavation underneath, and raids on Gaza along with blockade are continued; despite all these, we still hear from time to time about options of Palestinians that evaporate one by one.

In spite of various statements issued by leaders of the PLO, describing the peace process as went in a coma or the declarations of Oslo have ended forever, we have been walking aimlessly in a desert looking for a mirage for two decades. However, the Palestinian authority refuse to live reality and insist on living in the illusions and dreams which they call "the peace treaties," which turned to be nightmares!
