Minds that were eternized by history

I loved to write to the nation this humble article to be -by the will of Allah- a lamp that illuminates the way before its renaissance because of the spread of many ideas about whom the history eternizes? The difference of ideas and points of view in the eternization of history has become an active intellectual issue in our present time and we find its ads on theatre stages.

The most people who think about these ideas are young Muslims who rushed -in order to search for fame- to adopt ideas that caused the corruption of the Islamic Culture.

Indeed, Allah prepared this life to be a place for conflict between the truth and falsehood throughout history and the conflict intensified between them due to the cruelty of that conflict, these concerns which hit the nation and the griefs which stained the Islamic civilization and led to its weakness and collapse.

That is embodied in the books of history because human beings are assigned by Allah (Glory be to Him) as vice-gerents on earth.

Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth." They said: "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, while we glorify You with praises and thanks and sanctify You." He (Allâh) said: "I know that which you do not know."" [Surat Al Baqarah: 30].

In this great Ayah, it is important to point out that human beings differ by the difference of their types and hearts.

In this life, human minds which were mentioned by Mustafa Siba`y in his book "Hakadha `Allamatny Al Hayah [as taught by life]" were divided into two divisions.

The first division is: Steadfast scholars, truthful thinkers, and humane writers.

The second division is: Those who dedicated their lives for falsehood and fulfilled the desires of audiences with singing, dancing, sexual arousal, and moral decay. Accordingly, human beings adopted several views because they differed in thinking and ends; and the result of this conflict between mankind is outlined when we leaf through the pages of history.

Verily, the conflict lies in minds. So, whoever his mind is bright and bears all kinds of knowledge will reveal the facts and try to be creative in his life, so he deserves to be mentioned in history.

For example, We all love and respect `Umar ibn Al Khattab for his noble character and achievements despite the long period between his time and ours.

I cannot forget all Muslim scholars who fascinated the world with their discoveries, such as: Al Razy, Az-Zahrawy, Ibn Al Baytar, Al Khawarizmy, and others.

On the contrary, there were some people who subjugated their minds to answer their personal ambitions.

Some of them wanted to enjoy life, some were looking for immorality or searching for fame; indeed the actions of those people were a mirage in a desert which has no effect.

Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are like a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one thinks it to be water." [Surat An-Nur: 39], but history considers them the axes which destroyed and demolished civilization.

Let's all know that morals are the firm pillar upon which a group of people depend to protect its entity and history.

It is also the way for advancement and prosperity, as it is the cornerstone in building civilizations of nations and surrounding them with the fence of pride and dignity.

So, we did not hear that a civilization was built on immorality and singing because when the Islamic Culture was calling for morals, wearing the garment of virtue, and having good characters, it could remain on the bench of coronation and could lower the heads of the entire world before its glory out of honor and respect.

However, when the fetters of morals were chained and the sources of amusement and corruption showed up, the status of the nation was lost, its powers were scattered, injustice prevailed, its light was put off, and its powers waned.

We should ask a question: Who is the one whom was honored by history?

Those whom were honored by history are the ones who did not wane or become weak, but their determinations were doubled and their wills increased in exerting all efforts to serve the construction and renaissance of civilization.

So, it was a message which was destined to be a guide to the world, therefore history highlighted it for centuries because those people advanced pure intention and saw the world as a field to win the reward of the Hereafter and that life has pillars, such as: the worship of Allah, obedience to His Prophet, respecting human beings, system, get to know one another, and pure desire;

these are the solid rules upon which the builders of the new civilization stood.

Immortal men are the ones who are characterized by moral bravery by which they reach the highest ranks -maturity and command-, and they are whose hands are stretched for glory and created prestige for the nation.

History is the human civilization which granted man moral courage.

At the end, I see that whoever created history for himself deserves to be mentioned in history.

The immortal thought is the thinking which builds the rules of renaissance at its commencement, therefore its people deserve to be mentioned in history.

However, those who demolish the building of civilization in its glory, its people deserve to be forgotten by history.[1]

I ask Allah, the Capable and the Ever-Exalted, to make the Muslim nation rise from its coma and go back to its glory and civilization.

Thank you for spotlighting those great figures who eliminated the world and showed the West how to think and how to live. We need more of these figures to the world that we are the origin of civilization.
