A day and another day

The day I am talking about is the day when I feel this Ayah "And they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allâh, and no refuge but with Him" ]Surat At-Tawbah: 118].

Then I turn my face to the sky in hope and desire, seeking and thinking about the moment of relieve.

When I reach that stage, I find myself free on worldly burdens and was possessed by a state of asceticism similar to that found in the time of our Pious Predecessors. I cancel my phone calls, give up my basic needs, but rather seclude at home without getting out. Perhaps I provide excuses for a pressing invitation or a planned meeting without others know my real reason.

I go back to ponder over the blessings I have and lecture my wife about the blessings and favors which Allah (Glory be to Him) bestowed upon us. Moreover, I ask her to prepare the existing food which we are not used to cook during the days of prosperity.

I prevent myself of things that it desires and satisfy with the little without being full. This day is repeated every month and the following day becomes normal.

The following day will be a happy day full of gladness, it is the shopping day and the day in which children are given more money and their needs are fulfilled. Those two days are like the days of An-Nu`man ibn Al Mundhir: A miserable day followed by a happy day. However, I do not kill someone in the miserable day as An-Nu`man did, but in the happy day, life comes back to my body, youthfulness circulates in my organs, and I become another creature.

Perhaps you have known the first day: It is the last day in the month before taking the salary when I lose every essence of life, but when I take my salary, life comes back to my body again.
