Sokoto Reads Riot Act to Supervisors of Ramadan Feeding Centres

The Sokoto State Ramadan Feeding Committee Saturday vowed to take decisive action against supervisors of Ramadan Feeding Centres that violate the rules and guidelines governing the feeding programme in the state.

Secretary of the Committee, Alhaji Bello Garba, gave the warning during a visit to four Ramadan Feeding Centres in the Sokoto metropolis.

He said the warning became necessary in view of the fact that the state government had spent huge amount of money for the benefit of the less privileged in the state.

Garba noted with dismay that some of the operators of the Centres had formed the habit of not adhering to the guidelines of the programme.

He explained that all the Centres had been provided with adequate foodstuffs to carry out their activities.
