Tweets about the term "Political Islam"

At different times and occasions I wrote some tweets about the term "Political Islam," and I intend to publish some of these tweets along with more explanation. It seems that the term "Political Islam" is meant to indicate the Islamic political movements versus secular political movements, but the usage of the term is more dangerous because it is meant to negate the presence of politics in Islam and confirm the separation between religion and life especially from the regime.

The term "Political Islam" is in fact a classification to Islam itself not to Muslims as may be said. It is a classification stemming from the background of the secular thinking which opposes Islam in faith and Shari`ah. The purpose of spreading this term is giving support to the extreme secular speech against the Shari`ah of Islam and aversing Muslims from the Shari`ah and its advocates.

The most important differences between the term "Islamic political system" and "political Islam" are:

Islamic political system is a common and widespread term that confirms the fact of the inclusiveness and perfection of Islam and its dominance to all aspects of life including the political aspect.

Political Islam is a secular term that denies the reality of the inclusiveness and perfection of Islam, and instills in its advocates that Islam should not be involved in politics, and only Islamists thrust Islam in politics.

It is part of the terms that are used in normalization of secularism and working to legitimize it according to the way of the Zionist orientalist Margoliouth who claimed that Islam cannot be involved in politics and that politics is new to it.

Therefore, it is true to say: "Islamic political system" or "Islamic politics" and so on, but do not say: "Political Islam" because it is a secular term stemming from the secular idea which denies religious reference in politics.

Among those who drew attentions to this false term "Political Islam" was Dr. Ja`far Sheikh Idris who said that "Political Islam" is a Western term that was imported by the lovers of the Western culture to Muslim countries and made it a way to fight the religion.

Likewise, Dr. Salih ibn `Abdullah ibn Humayd, the chairman of the Shura council, the chairman of the supreme council of the Saudi judicial system, and the Imam of the Makkan Masjid, who said that political Islam is a wrong nomination and a term that does not exist in Islam because Islam is composed of belief, worship, politics, economy, sociology, and culture.

The previous secular term has generated the term "The Islamic political power" which is a secular term that was invented by the opponents of Islam among those who desire to besiege Islam inside masjids and push it away from the parliament, the institutions of making the constitution, and issuing of laws.

The Summary:

The term "Islamic politics" is a secular Western term that has been repeated by secular Arabs which is contradictory to Islamic terms that are acknowledged by scholars, moreover it contradicts the things which are well-known in the religion.

"Islamic politics" term is invalid classification that stems from the secular culture which is contradictory with Islam in belief and Shari`ah and is meant for excluding the Islamic Shari`ah and aversing Muslims.

It is awful that some people who receive this term use this secular term without knowing its danger to the basics of Islam, and call it to scholars and reformers who support the arbitration of Shari`ah.
