Question

As-salamu `Alaykum warahmatullah (May Allah's Peace and Mercy be upon you)!

What is the treatment of frequent thinking and preoccupation with it in Shari`ah science and in psychology?

I mean managing things, analyzing words and (past , present, and expected) attitudes and engaging in it.

Answer

Dear valued brother, As-salamu `Alaykum warahmatullah (May Allah's Peace and Mercy be upon you)!

Welcome to Alukah Website.

As for the cure of your case, we should describe it scientifically because in recent years science has advanced in this area and formulated rules and regulations not just speculations and analyses that are not based on scientific grounds.

If you are interested and have the ability to analyze and understand the patterns of people, I invite you to start a fascinating and interesting scientific journey in this field. Start reading in the science of individual differences, and the knowledge of personality and its patterns, then see the theory of Meyer Bridge about (MBTI), and the theory of tendencies of Holland (Holland Theory), and other great theories which left a significant impact on understanding and analyzing the human personality.

The issue is interesting and full of fun but it needs a strong determination.

Best regards,
