111- If we respond to their suggestion by sending down a miracle or more than what they had asked for, we would have sent down angels to believe in the sent Prophet, resurrected the dead from their graves to speak to them and tell them about the truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the accuracy of monotheism. Furthermore, if We had accumulated everything that may confirm the truthfulness of this message, they would not have left their disbelief and would not have believed in the message of Muhammad but after the will of Allah because guidance is only in His Hands not theirs.

However, most of them ignore the reason for not believing when the Ayahs or signs come to them.

Ibn Jarir At-Tabary (may Allah be merciful with him) said: However, most of those polytheists ignore this fact: They think that belief and unbelief are left to their wills and when they will, they believe or disbelieve. The fact is: Belief and disbelief are left to My Will; none of them shall believe but after I guide them, and none can disbelieve except those whom I mislead.

The author of Fi Dhilal Al Qur'an said: The general rule which Ibn Jarir decides here is true but it needs more clarification by quoting some Ayahs about guidance and mislead, the will of Allah and the effort of man.

He adds: The will of Allah is the last reference in terms of guidance and error because Allah destined that mankind should be afflicted by the freedom of choice and by affliction, so whoever chooses guidance, Allah shall guide and aid him. However, whoever chooses to abstain from guidance and look forward to it, even if he does not know where guidance is, Allah shall help, aid, and guide him to the Straight Path. Whoever uses it to abstain from guidance and it signs, Allah shall mislead him, send him astray from the Straight Path, and let him wander in darknesses. The will and destiny of Allah encompass all human in every state and condition, and all things shall return to Him.

112- As there are enemies who disagree with you and harm you regarding your mission and call, thus We have set enemies for every Prophet before you from humans or jinn to incur hostility, belie them, and strive to eradicate their call. Those humans or jinn insinuate to one another the sweet false speech to tempt them and take them at sudden. When Allah wills, there will be no harm or hostility, it is not a coincidence but to try with that enmity His Pious Servants and see their patience, their faith, and their firm position; however enmity will not harm anyone but by the will of Allah, so let aside their lies because Allah shall make you victorious.

113- And to make the hearts of polytheists incline to that false speech because their hearts lean to the love of desires and incline to what is deceiving. They will satisfy and love that false speech to earn more bad deeds for their bad actions and they shall have their retribution.

114- O Prophet, say to them: Shall I ask for a just and a knowledgeable judge between you and me other than Allah, while He sent down the Qur'an to explain therein the truth and falsehood, lawful and prohibition, other rulings, news, and instructions that are filled by the truth and justice. You are an illiterate nation which do not know anything about that, but the People of the Book (the Jews and the Christians) know that the Qur'an was revealed by Allah as they received glad tidings from their books, moreover they knew the description of the Prophet, the description of his nation, and news about the Qur'an from their books. So, O Prophet, do not be in confusion because they know you are the true Prophet.

115- The words of Allah were completed truthfully in all that He said and decided and justly in all that He legislated and judged. All these are true because Allah only commands people with goodness and does not prohibit but evil. No one can object to His Judgment, alter His Ruling, His Promise shall not be broken, and no one is able to change any of His Words to the better. He listens to the requests of His Servants and knows their conditions whether in public or secret and knows what reforms them.

116- If you obey most people, they will drive you away from the truth and guidance because they depend in their doctrines and polytheistic ideas on assumptions and false theories, arising from ignorance and delusion, so they are not sure that they are on the truth but they are lying in their claims.

117- And Allah knows those who go astray and those who are guided to the truth, and He guides both to His Way and rewards them as they deserve.

118- So, eat from the animals' meats which Allah made lawful for you and which the name of Allah is mentioned on them upon slaughtering, unlike the animals which other names mentioned upon them or animals that died unwillingly if you truly believe in the Ayahs and signs of Allah that were revealed to you which explain the lawful and the prohibited.

119- Why do not you eat the animals' meat which the name of Allah is mentioned upon slaughtering them and He had explained to you the prohibited meat in Ayah No. 145 of the current Surah, so are other kinds of meats lawful?! Hence, eat it unless you are forced to eat the prohibited, then you may eat the prohibited according to your need. There are many polytheists who have misled the people with their corrupt whims by making the prohibited lawful and make the lawful prohibited out of their whims without knowledge or a revelation, such as making the dead animal lawful, and prohibited the Bahirah or Sa'ibah (animals were liberated in honor of idols as practiced by pagan Arabs in the pre-Islamic period). He (Glory be to Him) is knowledgeable of the aberrance of deceivers, the lie of the claimers, and the oppression of those who transgress the limits of truth and falsehood, and transgress the lawful and the prohibited.

120- Leave out the disobedience of Allah whether in public or secret, and whether it is few or abundant. Those who commit sins and evils shall be punished for their actions with what they deserve.
