What will be the condition of the people if the Soor has been blown into for the first time?

It is a massive devastating blow. Whoever hears it cannot will anything nor return to his family. The Almighty said:

{ مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ * فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ }

“They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return..” [Yasin: 49-50]

They hear the cry as they are arguing among themselves in their sins and the affairs of their lives. If they hear it they will not be able to will anything nor will by repentance. They cannot return to their families to protect them nor themselves. None of them hears that cry except that it reaches the surface of their throats and they raise it –may Allah protect us. The first who hears it is a man who is fixing the basin of his camel so he is shocked and then the people are shocked. In the Hadith of Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Then it is blown in the Soor so nobody hears it except the one who hears the asgha lait then the lait is raised.” He said: “The first who hears it is a man who is lawt the basin of his camel.” He said: “He is shocked and the people are shocked.”[1]
