Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "Allâh has promised those among you who believe and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the land, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islâm). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieves after this, they are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh)." [Surat An-Nur: 55].

It is the promise of Allah which is definitely true: "And whose words can be truer than those of Allâh? (Of course, none)." [Surat An-Nisa': 122].

He also said: "And who is truer to his covenant than Allah?" [Surat At-Tawbah: 111].

Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "So flee to Allah (from His Torment to His Mercy Islamic Monotheism), verily, I (Muhammad peace be upon him) am a plain warner to you from Him." [Surat Az-Zariyat: 50].

Indeed, the reality of Muslims today is very painful as they are facing a fierce attack from the enemies of Allah who hit them severely like eaters eat from a large bowl. They are using the latest means of modern civilization in their aggression. They have followed a double way to get them out of their religion by using air force and lethal weapons in addition to corrupting their manners and stirring doubts in Islam in confirmation to what our Lord said: "And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islâmic Monotheism) if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter, and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide therein forever." [Surat Al Baqarah: 217].

They stirred doubts and lusts in a dangerous way that could have never known to their ancestors through the methodologies of teaching, and print and audio-visual mass media.

They did not stop at that limit but they resorted to a war of annihilation including deportation, killing, demolition of houses, villages, and cities; and torture that exceeded all limits as they are doing today in the Levant, Iraq, and other Muslim countries. Truly, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.

Salvation is only achieved by returning to Allah and holding firm on the correct faith, performing righteous deeds, and sincere repentance. Of the favors of Allah is that we have a blessed Islamic awakening that understands the painful reality and works to get rid of it along with its consequences by returning to Allah. Therefore, whenever I read this Ayah with which I started my speech, a great hope shines in myself with victory and winning.

Security and succession on earth exist by the true promise of Allah to those who believe truly and act according to righteous actions.

O believers, have glad tidings with the promise of Allah of victory no matter the volume of enemies' power because Allah is greater and more powerful. "Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). * And I (too) am planning a plan. * So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while." [Surat At-Tariq: 15 - 17].

Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm." [Surat Muhammad: 7].

He also said: "And (as for) the believers it was incumbent upon Us to help (them)." [Surat Ar-Rum: 47].

He also said: "Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection)," [Surat Ghafir: 51].

So, righteous believers should not get despair no matter what they see of disbelievers, where our Lord said that if we observe patience and fear Allah, their plots shall not harm us. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "But if you remain patient and become Al Muttaqûn [the pious], not the least harm will their cunning do to you. Surely, Allâh surrounds all that they do." [Surat Al `Imran: 120].

O believers, indeed, Allah is the Protector of the believers, and His Righteous Servants shall not be defeated. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "And Allâh is the Walî (Protector and Helper) of the believers." [Surat Al `Imran: 68].

He also said: "Allâh has decreed: Verily, it is I and My Messengers who shall be the victorious." [Surat Al Mujadalah: 21].

He also said: "And whosoever takes Allah, His Messenger, and those who have believed, as Protectors, then the party of Allah will be the victorious." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 56].

We should be keen to get this high honor which is followed by decisive victory.

As for this painful reality, it is caused by sins. What we are seeing today from the attacks of the enemies of Islam on Muslims and the political, economic, along with intellectual deterioration are caused by the sins committed by people. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Evil (sins and disobedience of Allah, etc.) has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned (by oppression and evil deeds, etc.), that Allah may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return (by repenting to Allah, and begging His Pardon)." [Surat Ar-Rum: 41].

Let us ponder over Allah's Saying: "That perhaps they will return." Indeed, these calamities and that circulated corruption in the aspects of economic and social life, and enemies' torture to a section of Muslims contain alerts and warnings to the nation perhaps it would go back to the truth. Indeed, attentive hearts count that a reminder and awakening.

He also said: "(What is the matter with you?) When a single disaster smites you, although you smote (your enemies) with one twice as great, you say: "From where does this come to us?" Say (to them), "It is from yourselves (because of your evil deeds)." And Allâh has power over all things." [Surat Al `Imran: 165].

He also said: "And verily, when We cause man to taste of Mercy from Us, he rejoices thereat, but when some ill befalls them because of the deeds which their hands have sent forth, then verily, man (becomes) ingrate!" [Surat Ash-Shura: 48].

Allah (Exalted be He) says: "And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy, they rejoice therein, but when some evil afflicts them because of (evil deeds and sins) that their (own) hands have sent forth, lo! They are in despair!" [Surat Ar-Rum: 36].

He also said: "And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much." [Surat Ash-Shura: 30].

"Surely, the (good) end is for the Muttaqun (pious)" this is what Allah (may He be Exalted) said after the story of Noah (Peace be upon him): "This is of the news of the unseen which We reveal unto you (O Muhammad peace be upon him), neither you nor your people knew them before this. So be patient. Surely, the (good) end is for the Muttaqun (pious)" [Surat Hud: 49]. i.e., the good end of victory is for you and for those who believed with you as it was for Noah and those who believed in him.

Verily, the promise of Allah of victory to the believers is a glad tiding for those miserable people, for that shows them the way of salvation which has no other way; it is returning to Allah, the sincere faith, and righteous actions.

There are many pious people in the Muslim afflicted homes, but the way of Allah (of conducting affairs) ordained that affliction prevails. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "And fear the Fitnah (affliction and trial) which affects not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong (but it may afflict all the good and the bad people), and know that Allâh is Severe in punishment." [Surat Al Anfal: 25].

Verily, those who declared their faith outwardly and stuck to it in their private and public matters are the victorious. Allah (may He be Exalted) addressed the believers saying: "And if those who disbelieve fight against you, they certainly would have turned their backs, then they would have found neither a Wali (protector) nor a helper. * That has been the Way of Allah already with those who passed away before. And you will not find any change in the Way of Allah." [Surat Al Fath: 22 - 23].

O Muslims, you should return to Allah, hold firm with His Way and His Shari`ah to reveal your distress, concern, worry, and oppression, and to restore glory, superiority, security, and dominance on earth and to win Paradise and the pleasure of Allah, and that is the great winning.
