She sat on the top of a hill looking at the distant horizon, and her eyes were shedding tears, complaining about her condition. Air passed to dry her nonstop tears   and complaining to her lord waiting for the relief from her creator after she had suffered cruelty from the people of the earth.

She was stabbed twice and each stab tore her heart apart, but she was holding firm with a strong bond which was faith.

As for the first stab, people separated her from her husband, so he was forced to leave her and migrate.

And the second stab was when the family of her husband took away her children to increase her bitterness and pain, so she remained between the anvil of alienation and the hammer of loneliness which was tearing her heart apart and disturbing her sleep.

While she was in that condition, a man passed by and stopped to know her story, then his heart softened for her condition and decided to go to her family and say to them: Would you have pity with this poor woman and give her the children and let her join her husband? Behold, Allah responded to those tears.

The woman prepared herself for joining her husband and she became happy when she knew that her husband's family decided to give her the children. Then the man drove her to her husband out of the original Arabian magnanimity.

Did she think that relief would come that easy? It is the mercy of Allah that comes down on sincere and faithful people. She was a woman who loved her Lord, her Prophet, her husband, and her children more than her family, friends, and homeland in which she was raised. She knew the taste of having a husband and children while she was in old age. Can you compare that woman with our women who rebelled against every precious value and sold it for a cheap price?!

She was Um Salamah, the Mother of the Believers, our mother and a model of patience and seeking the reward from Allah. What honor and glory that can be given after that great nickname "the Mother of the Believers" and that great reward for her patience, silence, and tears?!
