As-salamu `Alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh (May Allah's Peace, Mercy, and Blessings be upon you!).
I am a 32-years-old girl who has not been married yet because of my old age.
Since I began to menstruate, my period is regular and comes in a specific day each month. It last as such for several months then the beginning of the period changed then it became regular again. I think the change is due to sports, the fasting of Ramadan, or fatigue.
The duration of my period ranges between 3 to 5 days, does not increase nor decrease.
Two months later, I found disorder in my period, and despite it comes regular I was surprised that it lasted for 48 hours for two consecutive months or less in one of the months but in the third month, it lasted over 60 hours which means it did not complete 3 days which is less than usual.
What worries me is: Does this mean the start of its interruption, or a disturbance will take place in ovulation?
I know that Allah is Powerful over all things, but my concern is increasing because I hope to be a mother one day, but until now I am not engaged and that worries me. I ask Allah to grant me a husband and to have a baby one day because it is a blessing.
Could you kindly explain whether this is the beginning of ovulation weakness or the menopause as they call it, what is the solution? The whole matter is to Allah in the beginning and in the last.
If there are other reasons for my case, could you kindly explain them because I am really concerned and I am afraid that it will have an impact on my psychological condition.
If my condition is natural, are there any natural herbs or food that are beneficial in preserving the soundness of ovulation, or are there some foods could harm ovulation, so I should decrease them.
May Allah reward you the best, and I ask Allah to grant all His Servants good offspring.
There is no need to worry at all because anxiety in generally is an enemy to the human body and makes it worse.
The fact that the duration of the menstrual period decrease is not a reason for worry, because the most important is to come each month.
Even if it is interrupted for one or two months, there is no need to panic because it comes back again; this case has other causes which are too numerous to mention here.
As for your case and the information you have mentioned in particular, I advise you to make an analysis for the functions of the thyroid gland; it may have something to do with the duration of your period.
I ask Allah - the Almighty - to fulfill your needs in the way which pleases you and achieve benefit and goodness to you.
